On Wednesday, May 2nd at 6:00pm in the Bistro we will be hosting a meeting about our 8th grade Promotion Ceremony and celebration.  If you are interested in volunteering or just learning more about the event please be in attendance.

International Dinner/Hispanic Pride Showcase

May 3rd, 5:30pm-7:30pm

• International Dinner: food (samples), cultures, tourists, attractions, and description of countries from all over the world.
• Hispanic Pride Showcase: Spanish students showcase their project of the Hispanic countries.

As head coach of track and field, I would like to cordially invite you to our first ever Imagine Prep at Surprise Storm Track and Field Invitational. Come brave the heat and watch our #1 CAA ranked JH Girls team, our #2 CAA ranked JH Boys team and our high school track athletes participate in their final CAA qualifying meet. It will begin at 8 a.m. at Phoenix Christian School on 1751 West Indian School Road in Phoenix, AZ 85015.

I have had a few of you show interest in volunteering. I have put you on the roster to volunteer. We still need a few volunteers. Please let me know if this is something that you would like to do.

The meet is at Phoenix Christian School 1751 West Indian School Road Phoenix, AZ 85015. All volunteers need to be present at 7 a.m. The meet will end around 1 p.m.

Here is the volunteer list:

Registration: Bri Harding, Britni Nelson, Kristi Atkins. These people are responsible for registering the teams and letting the meet director know when teams arrive. NO ROSTERS CHANGES ARE ALLOWED.

Runner: Cole Atkins. This person is responsible for turning in the scores to Hymel in the press box.

Starter: Hymel (at beginning), Maris Adams, then Brian Leach towards the end. This person is responsible for placing runners into their lanes and starting the race. As soon as the timekeepers have released the athletes, line up the next heat and start when the timers are ready.

5 timers: Heidi Melfi, Bri Harding, Robert Nelson, Britni Nelson, Chad Atkins. These people are responsible for timing the race. You will keep athletes in their lanes with and give the correct time to the scorekeeper. After the times have been given to the scorekeeper, then the timers release the athletes.

Scorekeeper: Dan Schroeder. This person is responsible for logging all times on the scoresheet and turning these into the runner at the conclusion of the last heat of an event.

Throwing area: Teri Leach, Isaiah Leach, Maria, Debbie Burtrum. Teri will be calling the athletes up and writing their marks on the scoresheet that is provided. Isaiah and Maria will be measuring. Debbie will be checking for fouls and making sure all athletes are out of the throwing area and sitting in lanes according to JH/HS Girls/Boys.

All kids will have a label with their name and school name on it. Pay attention to it please for scoring and timing.
